Drafts Policy

Our office does not release drafts of our legal instruments prior to signing. In our experience, you will be best served if we personally guide you through the legal instruments. By reviewing the documents in our office, we can answer any questions that might arise as you review them to ensure that your wishes are fully accomplished. When changes are necessary, we can generally complete them immediately during your Signing Ceremony.

Experience teaches us that clients who receive drafts in the mail without the benefit of a "guided tour" generally feel overwhelmed, confused, and frustrated by the experience. If you believe you would like additional time to review your planning documents during the Signing Ceremony, just let us know in advance so we can reserve the conference room for an extra hour or so. We would then provide you with our guided tour of your documents, then leave you with a refreshing beverage so you can review the documents at your leisure before signing them.

A final thought: most of the instruments we draft are fully amendable or revocable. As such, if you ever discover that you would like to make changes to your documents after they have been signed, that is usually a simple process. Obviously, if we made a mistake, we will take care of those corrections for you.
